How much weight can a balloon filled with balloon gas carry?
The balloon gas, which consists mainly of helium, provides buoyancy that helps balloons rise into the air. The buoyancy of helium is approximately 1 g per liter of gas, which theoretically means that a balloon with a volume of 14.1 liters can carry approximately 7 to 8.5 g (e.g., a balloon with a diameter of 30 cm). Pear-shaped balloons offer a slightly larger volume due to their shape.
For larger balloons or airships, the buoyancy must be calculated individually, taking into account the volume and weight of the attachments.

Latex balloons lose their balloon gas after about 14 to 16 hours, so they should ideally be filled shortly before the planned event. - Use of space:
Filling balloons indoors is safe, provided there is adequate ventilation. - Safety aspects:
